Introducing the Owner of Northern Planning Collective
—
Hey there, I’m Meg Milkie!
I was born in Wisconsin, raised in De Pere and I’m back in town after time in Virginia. I began daydreaming about being a wedding planner while studying in South Carolina after a summer of working at a wedding venue. I was heavily attached to the idea, but I longed for more industry experience before embarking on the journey. So, I got back to work at a wedding venue in Green Bay while simultaneously studying Events & Hospitality.
A little while later I got married and planned my own wedding, turning ideas into execution for my fiancé and I. After the wedding came the move to Virginia, where I explored all aspects of the wedding industry. During my time in the Blue Ridge Mountains, I worked as a Bridal Stylist for a local dress shop, Catering Coordinator for a boutique hotel, and a Venue Manager at a luxury venue.
Once my time in Virginia had come to a close, my husband and I packed up and headed back for the North. Once we were settled back in the Green Bay Area, I began drafting up my own business plan. Before I knew it, Northern Planning Collective was born!
Wedding Planning is my passion- it’s what excites me, and it’s where I get to be most creative. The best part is my passion does not go without meaning. There is nothing more precious than the engagement season and becoming newlyweds, and I always cherish being a part of enabling couples to enjoy it. I’m dedicated to cultivating an enjoyable wedding experience, and I’m honored to be involved in the process!
I’m here to support couples in a season that can be overwhelming, emotional, financially stressful, and what seems to be logistically impossible. I’m here to manage all the details - big or small - to ensure that your day is seamless. Despite the reputation, wedding planning can be one of the sweetest experiences of a couple’s life together, and I’m here to ensure that happens!
